Skipper Badenhorst has opted out of the Namibian aide to the Rugby World Cup, citing family reasons.
He will continue to be available for the Sharks who have lost two hookers - John Smit and Bismarck du Plessis - to the World Cup for they will be heading for France with the Springboks.
Corné Powell who originally was taken out of the Namibian Rugby Team has now been taken back after the news of Skipper Badenhorst. The President of the Namibian Rugby Union Mr Dirk Conradie and Vise president Mr Bucks Bock announced that Powell will be joining them for the RWC

The scorers:
For South Africa: Tries: De Villiers, Smith 3, Pietersen, Burger 3, Fourie, Du Randt, Montgomery, Willemse, Du Plessis, Pienaar, Van der Linde Cons: Montgomery 12 Pens: Montgomery 2
For Namibia: Try: Langenhoven Con: Wessels Pens: Wessels 2
I suppose that sais it all! But I am still empressed that the Biltong Boere didnt walk away with a 0 ! 13 is pretty good plus they didnt just play against some small team!
The game was a slaughter and also an eye opener on how the world cup will go for the Biltong Boere. I suppose we will have to wait and see what happens next!

This afternoon its the Springboks and the Biltong Boere!!!
The Biltong Boere are using this warm-up game against the Springboks to see how they will cope against the bigger teams when they head to France to compete in the sixth RWC.
We've picked our strongest side for the game", said Namibia's coach Hakkies Hüsselman, who played Provincial rugby for Griquas and the Pumas in SA.
"We want to see where we have shortcomings and the best way to do that is against one of the best teams that the world has to offer."
He added: "We're not a side that is used to playing at the top level - some of the guys have never even played in a stadium the size of Newlands. But we need to get the team used to what it will be like there and this will help us a lot in that regard.
"It's a big learning curve for us."
Well I hope everyones got a beer and some Biltong as we are gonna need it! Good luck to both teams!!!
